GRANDPARENTS-A B'ful relationship
Memory of my grandma. My grandma assures me that it is safe to eat stale bread once I removed the mold. She passed away at 101. That's how she gets to grow so old? What did yours taught you?

Silence of Mind!
From My InBox:
Silence of Mind!
There once was a farmer who discovered that he had lost his watch in the barn. It was no ordinary watch because it had sentimental value for him.
After searching high and low among the hay for a long while; he gave up and enlisted the help of a group of children playing outside the barn. He promised them that the person who found it would be rewarded. Hearing this, the children hurried inside the barn, went through and around the entire stack of hay but still could not find the watch. Just when the farmer was about to give up looking for his watch, a little boy went up to him and asked to be given another chance.
The farmer looked at him and thought, "Why not? After all, this kid looks sincere enough." So the farmer sent the little boy back in the barn. After a while the little boy came out with the watch in his hand! The farmer was both happy and surprised and so he asked the boy how he succeeded where the rest had failed.
The boy replied, "I did nothing but sit on the ground and listen. In the silence, I heard the ticking of the watch and just looked for it in that direction."
Moral : A peaceful mind can think better than a worked up mind. Allow a few minutes of silence to your mind every day, and see, how sharply it helps you to set your life the way you expect it to be! The soul always knows what to do to heal itself.... The challenge is to silence the mind

LIFE IS LIKE A JOURNEY
From My InBox:
Life is like a journey on a train...
with its stations...
with changes of routes...
and with accidents!
At birth we boarded the train and met our parents,
and we believe they will always travel on our side.
However, at some station our parents will step down from the train,
leaving us on this journey alone.
As time goes by, other people will board the train;
and they will be significant i.e. our siblings, friends, children,
and even the love of our life.
Many will step down and leave a permanent vacuum.
Others will go so unnoticed that we don't realize that they vacated their seats!
This train ride will be full of joy, sorrow,
fantasy, expectations, hellos, good-byes, and farewells.
Success consists of having a good relationship with all passengers...
requiring that we give the best of ourselves.
The mystery to everyone is:
We do not know at which station we ourselves will step down.
So, we must live in the best way - forgive, and offer the best of who

Obituary printed in the London Times
From My InBox:
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years.
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years.
No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.
He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
- Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
- Why the early bird gets the worm;
- Life isn't always fair;
- and maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).
His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place.
Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.
It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion..
Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason.
He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers;
I Know My Rights
I Want It Now
Someone Else Is To Blame
I'm A Victim
Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.
If you still remember him, pass this on.
If not, join the majority and do nothing.

Layman's Ten Commandments
From My InBox:
Someone has written these beautiful words.
Must read and try to understand the deep meaning of it. They are like the ten commandments to follow in life all the time.
1. Prayer is not a "spare wheel" that you pull out when in trouble, but it is a "steering wheel" that directs the right path throughout.
2. So why is a car's windshield so large and the rear view mirror so small? Because our past is not as important as our future. So, look ahead and move on.
3. Friendship is like a book. It takes few seconds to burn, but it takes years to write.
4. All things in life are temporary. If it's going well, enjoy it, that won't last long. If it's going badly, don't worry, that won't last long either.
5. Old friends are gold! New friends are diamonds! If you get a diamond, don't forget the gold! Because to hold a diamond, you always need a base of gold!
6. Often when we lose hope and think this is the end, God smiles from above and says, "Relax, sweetheart, it's just a bend, not the end!"
7. When God solves your problems, you have faith in His abilities; when God doesn't solve your problems, He has faith in your abilities.
8. A blind person asked St. Anthony, "Can there be anything worse than losing eye sight?" He replied, "Yes, losing your vision!"
9. When you pray for others, God listens to you and blesses them; sometimes, when you are safe and happy, remember that someone has prayed for you.
10. Worrying does not take away tomorrow's troubles, it takes away today's peace.
If you really enjoy this, please pass to others. It may brighten someone's day.

From My InBox:
If Only People Would Learn To Talk To One Another
Instead Of Talking About One Another .....
Your Destiny Is Never Tied To Anyone Who Leaves You.
It Doesn't Mean They Are Bad People.
It Just Means That Their Part In Your Story Is Over.. !
If you stay close they stay connected,
If you go away they find new devices...
Anger Had A STOP Button
Mistakes Had A REWIND Button
Hard Times Had A FORWARD Button
And Good Times A PAUSE Button !!
Because Problems Gives You Dual Advice,
Firstly, You Can Know How To Solve Them,
Secondly, You Learn How To Avoid Them In Future,
Have Faith In GOD And Yourself…!
In The Same Way,
Truth Cannot Be Seen In A State Of Anger!
Analyze Before You Finalize.
It Will Leave Us At Anytime,
But Failure Is Like A Mother
It Will Teach Us Some Important Lessons Of Life!
A Good Nature Can Win Many Good Hearts!
A TOUCH Could HEAL A Wound
An Eye Could SPEAK Volumes
A SMILE Can Confirm I AM THERE !!
"You Work So Hard To Make The Honey
And Humans Just Take It Away,
Doesn't It Make You Feel Bad?"
"No," Said The Bee, "Because They Will Never
Take From Me The Art Of Making It."

Let's reverse our future
From My InBox:
We must never lose hope for the future .....here's why ....
A palindrome reads the same backwards as forward. This video reads the exact opposite backwards as forward.
Not only does it read the opposite, the meaning is the exact opposite..
This is only a 1 minute, 44 second video and it is brilliant.
Make sure you read as well as listen .... forward and backward.
This is a video that was submitted in a contest by a 20-year old. The contest was titled "u @ 50" by AARP.
When they showed it, everyone in the room was awe-struck and broke into spontaneous applause.
So simple and yet so brilliant. Take a minute and watch it.
