LIFE IS LIKE A JOURNEY

From My InBox:

Life is like a journey on a train...
with its stations...
with changes of routes...
and with accidents!

At birth we boarded the train and met our parents,

and we believe they will always travel on our side.

However, at some station our parents will step down from the train,

leaving us on this journey alone.

As time goes by, other people will board the train;

and they will be significant i.e. our siblings, friends, children,
and even the love of our life.

Many will step down and leave a permanent vacuum.

Others will go so unnoticed that we don't realize that they vacated their seats!

This train ride will be full of joy, sorrow,
fantasy, expectations, hellos, good-byes, and farewells.

Success consists of having a good relationship with all passengers...

requiring that we give the best of ourselves.

The mystery to everyone is:

We do not know at which station we ourselves will step down.

So, we must live in the best way - forgive, and offer the best of who

the relationship between the hand and the eye

From My InBox:

The relationship between a husband and a wife is like the relationship between t
he hand and the eye.

If the hand gets hurt, the eye cries and if the eye cries, the hand wipes
its tears... !!

PRICELESS WORDS (ITS AWESOME)

From My InBox:

A husband wakes up at home with a huge hangover.
He forces himself to open his eyes, and the first thing he sees is a couple
of aspirins and a glass of water on the side table.

He sits down and sees his clothing in front of him, all clean and pressed.
He looks around the room and sees that it is in perfect order, spotless,
clean. So is the rest of the house.
He takes the aspirins and notices a note on the table.

“Honey, breakfast is on the table, I left early to go grocery shopping.
Love You!”

Totally shocked with the note , he goes to the kitchen and sure enough there
is a hot breakfast and the morning newspaper.
His son is also at the table, eating. He asks, “Son, what happened last
night?”

His son says, “Well, you came home around 3 AM, drunk and delirious.
Broke some crockery, puked in the hall, and gave yourself a black eye when
you stumbled into the door”. Confused, the man asks, “So, why is everything
in order and so clean, and breakfast is on the table waiting for me?
I should expect a big quarrel with her!”

His son replies, “Oh, that! Mom dragged you to the bedroom, and when she
tried to take your clothes n shoes off, you said,

“LADY LEAVE ME ALONE! I’M MARRIED!“

Moral

Self-induced hangover - $ 400.00
Broken crockery - $ 800.00
Breakfast - $ 10.00
Saying the Right Thing While Drunk - “PRICELESS “

There are truly some things that both money and Mastercard can’t buy

Have you heard of the love damper?

Do you know that we live in a cycle of illusionary reality? It starts when we do not communicate our thoughts or feelings to the people we are supposed to love and trust.

HOW MEN REMEMBER ANNIVERSARIES

From My InBox:

A woman awakes during the night to find that her husband was not intheir bed.
She puts on her dressing gown and goes downstairs to look for him. She finds him sitting at the kitchen table with a hot cup of coffee infront of him. He appears to be in deep thought, just staring at the wall.

She watches as he wipes a tear from his eye and takes a sip of his coffee.

'What's the matter, dear?' she whispers as she steps into the room,

'Why are you down here at this time of night?'

The husband looks up from his coffee, 'I am just remembering when wefirst met 20 years ago and started dating. You were only 16. Do you remember back then?' he says solemnly.

The wife is touched to tears thinking that her husband is so caring, so sensitive.

'Yes, I do' she replies.

The husband pauses. The words were not coming easily. 'Do you remember when your father caught us in the back seat of my car?'

'Yes, I remember!' said the wife, lowering herself into a chair beside him.

The husband continues. 'Do you remember when he shoved the shotgun in my face and said, 'Either you marry my daughter, or I will send you to jail for 20 years?'

'I remember that too' she replies softly.

He wipes another tear from his cheek and says...

'I would have been released today.'

Just Three Words

There are many things that we can do to perk up and strengthen our
interpersonal relationships. Yet the most effective involves the saying of
just three words. When spoken or conveyed, these statements have the power
to forge new friendships, deepen old ones and rest old relationships that
have cooled.

The following three-word phrases can enrich every relationship.

I'll be there.

If you have ever had to call a friend in the middle of the night, to take
a sick child to hospital, or when your car has broken down some miles from
home, you will know how good it feels to hear the phrase "I'll be there."
Being there for another person is the greatest gift we can give. When we are
truly present for other people, important things happen to them and us. We
are renewed in love and friendship. We are restored emotionally and
spiritually. Being there is at the very core of civility.

I miss you.

Perhaps more marriages could be saved and strengthened if couples simply
and sincerely said to each other "I miss you." This powerful affirmation
tells partners they are wanted, needed, desired and loved. Consider how
ecstatic you would feel, if you received an unexpected phone call from your
spouse in the middle of your workday, just to say "I miss you."

I respect you.

Respect is another way of showing love. Respect conveys the feeling that
another person is a true equal. If you talk to your children as if they were
adults you will strengthen the bonds and become close friends. This applies
to all interpersonal relationships.

Maybe you're right.

This phrase is highly effective in diffusing an argument and restoring
frayed emotions. The flip side to "maybe your right" is the humility of
admitting, "maybe I'm wrong. Let's face it." When you have a heated argument
with someone, all you do is cement the other person's point of view. They,
or you, will not change their stance and you run the risk of seriously
damaging the relationship between you. Saying "maybe you're right" can open
the door to further explore the subject, in which you may then have the
opportunity to get your view across in a more rational manner.

Please forgive me.

Many broken relationships could be restored and healed if people would
admit their mistakes and ask for forgiveness. All of us are vulnerable to
faults, foibles and failures. A man should never be ashamed to own up that
he has been in the wrong, which is saying, in other words, that he is wiser
today than he was yesterday.

I thank you.

Gratitude is an exquisite form of courtesy. People who enjoy the
companionship of good, close friends are those who don't take daily
courtesies for granted. They are quick to thank their friends for their many
expressions of kindness. On the other hand, people whose circle of friends
is severely constricted often do not have the attitude of gratitude.

Count on me.

A friend is one who walks in when others walk out. Loyalty is an essential
ingredient for true friendship; it is the emotional glue that bonds people.
Those that are rich in their relationships tend to be steady and true
friends. When troubles come, a good friend is there indicating "you can
count on me."

Let me help.

The best of friends see a need and try to fill it. When they spot a hurt
they do what they can to heal it. Without being asked, they pitch in and
help.

I understand you.

People become closer and enjoy each other more if they feel the other
person accepts and understands them. Letting your spouse know in so many
little ways that you understand them, is one of the most powerful tools for
healing your relationship. This applies to any relationship.

Go for it.

We are all unique individuals. Don't try to get your friends to conform to
your ideals. Support them in pursuing their interests, no matter how weird
they seem to you. Everyone has dreams, dreams that are unique to that person
only. Support and encourage your friends to follow their dreams. Tell them
to "go for it."

I love you.

Perhaps the most important three words that you can say. Telling someone
that you truly love them satisfies a person's deepest emotional needs. The
need to belong, to feel appreciated and to be wanted. Your spouse, your
children, your friends and your family, all need to hear those three little
words. "I love you."

UPGRADE FROM BOYFRIEND TO HUSBAND

Dear IT Support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a
slow down in the overall performance, particularly in the flower,
gifts and jewellery applications that had operated flawlessly under
Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 un-installed many other valuable programs,
such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, but installed
undesirable programs such as Formula One 5.0, NBA 3.0 and World Cup
2.0.

And now Conversation 8.0 no longer runs and House Cleaning 2.6 simply
crashes the system. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these
problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?

Signed,
Desperate Housewife

Reply:
Dear Desperate Housewife,

First keep in mind:
Boyfriend 5.0 is an entertainment package, while Husband 1.0 is an
operating system.

Try entering the command C:\ I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME and download
Tears 6.2 to install Guilt 3.0.

If all works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run
the applications Jewellery 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

But remember, overuse can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy
Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Late Night Teh Tarik 6.1.

Late Night 6.1 is a very bad program that will create
SnoringLoudly.wav files.

Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-Law 1.0 or reinstall another
Boyfriend program. These are not supported applications and will crash
Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have a limited
memory and cannot learn new applications quickly.

You might consider additional software to improve memory and
performance. I personally recommend Hot ! Tasty Food 3.0 and Tongkat
Ali 6.9.

Good Luck,
IT Support

The most beautiful rainbow

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that
wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You
will have your heart broken probably more than once and
it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so
remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight
with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things
an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast,
and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too
many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never
been hurt because every 60 seconds you spend upset
is a minute of happiness you'll never get back. Don't be
afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never
begin.

Live simply. Love generously.
Care deeply. Speak kindly.
Leave the rest to God.
