Big Bad Wolf at Big Bad Wolf Sales

Be wary of a guy standing near the entrance of Big Bad Wolf Sales.

He will pass you a form to fill in your personal particulars for a lucky draw.  Then you will get a call the following day to inform you that you are a winner and your family will receive a boat ride and free dinner at Palace of Golden Horses.

It turned out to be a ruse to get you there to listen to their talk so that you can take up membership plan for their health and / or vacation club.

So, if you have also been tricked into attending "Palace of Golden Horses" talks with free dinner and boat ride, please write to the organiser of Big Bad Wolf Sales at the following email address to file your complain and put an end to this:

This is the message we wrote to the organiser:

We attended your Big Bad Wolf Sales and was approached by a guy standing near the entrance.

He passed us a form to fill in our personal particulars for a lucky draw.  As we thought that it was organised by your company, we went ahead and fill in the details.

My husband received a call the following day to inform him that he is one of the winners from Big Bad Wolf Sales.  He was informed that he and his family members are invited for a boat ride and free dinner at Palace of Golden Horses at 7.00pm on 19 December, 2012.

On the day of the event, possibly to ensure that we will turn up, he was given a code # and informed that he will also receive free hotel stay of his choice, at a number of states mentioned.

When we arrived, we were informed that we have to attend their talk on health club membership before we proceed to another talk on vacation club membership.  That will take about an hour before we could have our "dinner".

As it turned out to be a ruse to get us there for the talks, we complaint to the staff manning the vacation club and was informed that it has nothing to do with them as the invitation was carried out by a telemarketing department headed by Manager, Balan (0123020543).  We were also informed that the "dinner" mentioned was just "refreshment".

We refused to attend both talks organised and we left.  We had to pay RM6 for parking as the staff there refused to allow us free parking even though they agreed that we have been tricked into attending their events.

I am sure that we are not the only "Big Bad Wolf Sales" customers who have been tricked by them.  I hope that your company will look into this issue and not let a happy shopping experience at "Big Bad Wolf Sales" end in such a bad taste.

IGNORE invitation@mydailyflog.com

If you received a message from your friend about "mydailyflog", you should ignore it.  Why?  Google "my daily flog scam" and you will come across quite a number of annoyed "subscribers" like me.

If you google "greenbeingnancy" you will see that they have already allocated a "homepage" for me which I am not even aware of.  I found the contact information of "mydailyflog" at the following link:

Bank Rakyat Credit Card Scam

Note this crime alert. This message is from someone I know personally.

========================================================================
From My InBox:

Dear All,

I myself just received a call this morning purported from someone who is from the Bank Rakyat Credit Card Centre by the name of Jimmy Leong who said that I have a credit card which I ask to increase my credit limit. I was surprise because I do not have any credit card from Bank Rakyat. I told him that I do not own any card from Bank Rakyat and he acted quite surprise and I ask him to double confirm my name and he confirm it as my name according to my IC. He told me that transaction amounting to RM9750.00 were use from this card in China in April and incidentally I went to China in April. He even leave me a purported Bank Rakyat number which is for me to contact them as 03-26988899 extension 1106 which is suppose to be the Card Centre.

I further enquire on the date and address this card was applied and it was in an address in Miri Sarawak and I told him that I have not been to Miri before and the address sound alien to me and I really thought someone might have use my IC to apply for a Credit card.

Now what happen next is very interesting, he tole he he had stopped and cancelled the card immediately and ask that I made a report to Bank Negara and he even gave me the Bank Negara phone number as 03-27826822 and ask that I report to Bank Negara and get a letter from them to waive this RM9750.00.

I called this so call Bank Negara number and the greeting sound exactly like Bank Negara Greeting with " Terima Kasih kerana memangil Bank Negara Malaysia, untuk Bahasa Malaysia sila tekan 1, for English Press 2.........." Someone pick up and ask for my name and phone number and said that they need to record that conversation and they would call me back on the phone number I have given to them, but so far no one called me.

I began to feel uneasy waiting for Bank Negara to call me and I call back this Bank Rakyat and no one pick up from that number. My wife went on the internet and found another Bank Rakyat number and it is not the same number from what was given and I called to verify that that was not their number and they also verify that Bank Negara number is not that number given and they said that it might be a scam and only that moment it appears to me that it was a scam.

I call up Bank Negara and the officer told me that they have received a lot a this complain from Bank Rakyat and even using other names such as Am Bank etc. and this is a scam and the Modus Operanti is that they will call my number again to ask for my bank infor or my card info and even ask you to change your Pin number and immediately you change the number all your money in your bank would be gone, accordingly so far the highest lost is from one individual amounting to RM250,000.00. The officer ask me to pass this information around so that we will not give our information out to these people.

SO watch out and they might call you someday and it happen to me here in SL today and it can also happen to you too.

So beware and be warned, they sound very real and convincing !!

Kidnap Scam

This is possibly a true story as some guidelines have been posted on link to Crime Prevention against such scams on the website of Singapore Police Force.

======================================================================
From My InBox:

important note from a friend to share with you........

A while ago heard that my friend's brother-in law's mother was cheated of RM350, 000. And today, this happened to me. Until now, when I think of it, I still feel numb all over. Only difference is that they did not manage to cheat my money.

This afternoon, I was still in the office on my computer when my handphone rang; I picked it up, but no answer on the other side. I hung up, but it rang again, I looked but there was no registered no. I picked up the phone and again no one on line. This happened for many many time. I did hear some soft voices of a few men on the other side but could not hear exactly what they were saying. This went on and on, my phone just did not stop ringing. Then I remembered what I've read in the newspapers and decided to call home. But I kept calling and could not get through to my house no. and no one picked up on my mother's handphone. Meantime, my handphone did not stop ringing. I was getting really worried and finally managed to get through to home and my mother picked up the phone. She was crying and kept asking me where I was. When I told her I was at the office, she would not believe me and I needed to reassure her that yes, I am in the office.

I found out that someone called my mother telling her that I've borrowed RM120, 000 from them and asked her to bring that money immediately for my release. They even had someone screaming at the side pretending to be me "Mum, I am xxxx, come save me quick"... My mother was so scared and the party kept my mother on the line with a lot of rubbish, refusing to let her hang up. Kept telling my mother to prepare the money to save me. Luckily I called home; otherwise my mother would have gone to prepare the money.

Please be careful.....

1. The cheaters thought that if they keep calling my handphone, I will really feel annoyed and switch off my handphone then my mother will not be able to contact me.

2. The cheaters must have also kept her on the phone all the time so as not to give her time to call me to confirm my safety. Please go home and tell your family that if they meet the same situation, do not worry, do not panic. Call around to check, many other phones you can use. If your handphone also ring non-stop like mine, do not switch off your handphone. Call home immediately to check. Let your family know that you are ok.
