Just stopping another case like Nurin's

During the Christmas Holiday weekend, my family and I went to our club house swimming pool. While playing around with the kids, I noticed a lady looking in our direction. I asked my son if she is a mother of a friend of his and he replied that she looks familiar but do not know who she is.

So, being friendly, I tried to make eye contact with her. It was then that I realised that she did not want to be caught watching my kids playing at the pool. She quickly stood up and left the pool area by covering her face with her car key clutch bag. Just imagine; if I have smiled in her direction and she had responded with a smile. Wouldn't my children think that she is known to the family?

Think about it. Maybe that was why it was so easy to lure Nurin away. She may have seen her parents smiling to the perpetrator in her neighbourhood before and that has given her an impression that the acquaintance who approached her was acceptable.

So, now I am getting paranoid because each time I see a lady in her 40s who looks like that Chinese lady by the pool, with long straight hair, fair complexion, slim and about 5ft 1 or 2", I will be checking with my son to confirm if that is the very same lady we saw.

So, if you happen to be someone living in my neighbourhood, smiling at me and I am not responding, just know that I am just trying to stop another case like Nurin's from occurring.
