US$2 million sounds good? Got get it!

How would you celebrate your company's 10th anniversary?

CNN reported that Google will do it by giving away US$10 million in February 2009. To win at least US$2 million, you need to put on your thinking cap to figure out how to make our world a better place because Google will be picking at least 5 winning ideas.

You have till 20 October 2008 to submit your ideas to Google's Project 10 to the 100. Language should not be a problem as long as you know one of the 25 languages you can submit them in.

Remember that they only want your visionary ideas so just go ahead and submit your dreams even if you do not have the technical expertise to implement them. Let Google worry about that.

Here is a video to get you going...

... and some issues listed for you to work on:

* Community: How can we help connect people, build communities and protect unique cultures?
* Opportunity: How can we help people better provide for themselves and their families?
* Energy: How can we help move the world toward safe, clean, inexpensive energy?
* Environment: How can we help promote a cleaner and more sustainable global ecosystem?
* Health: How can we help individuals lead longer, healthier lives?
* Education: How can we help more people get more access to better education?
* Shelter: How can we help ensure that everyone has a safe place to live?
* Everything else: Sometimes the best ideas don't fit into any category at all.

100 semifinalists will be selected by January 27 and the public will get to vote for their favourite submission from January 27 to February 2. Only the top 20 ideas will be selected for review.

I have submitted my ideas for building communities. What would you work on?

As Google said it, "May those who help the most win".
