Don't break that invisible link.

Read about Mitochondrial Eve on Wikipedia and the following extract from article, "All DNA Traces Back to Original African Black Man and Woman", posted on Camera On The Road:

(According to the National Geographic Web site, scientists call the
common male ancestor "Adam" but point out that he was not literally
the first male human. Instead, Adam, who lived in Africa 60,000 years
ago, is the only male whose descendants survived to the present day.

"It's well-established science that we're all related to the same
black man and woman out of Africa about 200,000 years ago," Miller
said. "I've had some people get angry at me for telling them that in
my DNA seminars. It's a very touchy subject.")

How do you feel about our connections? It makes me want to beak down to sing:

If there is a string
that connects me to you
From our very beginnings
of relationships forged
of good tidings long forgotten
Our journey through time
that interlink us to others

If we could see the bonds
that our children will connect
Benefits they could reap
regardless class, colour or creed
Would you push anyone away
if you could see this string?
