What are your favourite news blogs?

A request for alternative media from a FRIEND OF THE COMMUNITY.

these days, my priority is to log on to news blogs rather than turn to
the printed media because they give better news commentary, and bare
them all, uncensored to the hilt. what i read in the news blog, i read
them either way in advance of the printed media, or that the news are
never found in the MSM printed version.

the following are currently my favourite news blogs:

1. Malaysia Today (http://www.malaysia-today.net/2008/). this blog is
run by Raja Petra Kamaruddin, a renown political analyst since the
days of Mahathir. it is a news convergence blog from different
sources. of course RPK himself is a prolific writer and he has many
insider information about the political happenings in the country.

2. The Malaysian Insider (http://themalaysianinsider.com/mni/). The
Malaysian Insider is the brainchild of seasoned journalist Png Hong
Kwang and Sreedhar Subramaniam, the former chief operating officer of
ntv7. its aim is to create an Internet newspaper which offers an
unvarnished take on events and personalities in Malaysia.

3. Malaysiakini (paid media). http://www.malaysiakini.com/. this
portal is accessible only to subscribers for all its news except
letters to the editor which is free. i like to read some of the
opinions expressed by the letter writers. some of the writers are very
knowledgeable in their subject matter, an eye opener for many.

4. Cakap Tak Serupa Bikin, by an individual blogger. he is a
consultant in the construction industry. a witty political analyst.
